About Us
Hi — thanks for stopping by. Here is who we are, in plain language.
Why we started
We kept running into the same thing when buying clothes online: a piece looked good in the photo, arrived in a size that matched nothing we owned, and the shop went quiet the moment we asked for help. Sizing is where most of it goes wrong, especially with clothing made overseas, where a “medium” is rarely the medium you are used to.
That is the one problem we built this shop around. Every product page has a real size chart in centimetres, with the Canadian size next to it. If you are between two sizes, we tell you which way to go instead of leaving you guessing.
Who we are
We are a small team, not a big chain. Sophie & Marie Toronto is run from in the Netherlands, and we ship to customers across Canada. Because we are small, the person who answers your email is the same person who can actually do something about your order.
What we promise, and what we don’t
We are not going to tell you we are the cheapest, or that everything we sell is luxury. What we do stand behind:
- Free shipping across Canada, tracking included, no minimum order.
- 30 days to return an item after it arrives.
- A real reply within one business day, Monday to Friday.
If something arrives damaged, incorrect, or not as described, email us a photo and we will sort it out — a replacement, a refund, or a prepaid return label.
One thing we would rather say up front than have you find out at the door: our orders ship from outside Canada. That is why delivery takes 7 to 14 business days after processing, and why the Canada Border Services Agency can charge import duties or GST/HST on arrival.
